The Process of Reconnection
What Does It Mean To Reconnect?
The 3 Pillars | Embodiment, Empowerment & Energetics
Over the last several years, I’ve been in the process of reconnection. This process starts with curiosity, builds with time and space and involves choosing you. Let’s break it down.
What does it mean to reconnect?
Our world is fast-paced, external-focused and expectation-ridden. We are programmed from a young age to do, achieve, reach, strive — and as women we are conditioned to second guess, be accommodating, consider others first, and follow the rules.
Without going too deep into the systems that uphold the above cultural norms — capitalism, patriarchy and white supremacy, you are told to achieve, be pleasing and look perfect, among many other aspects. Where women once were told to only be the housekeeper and caretaker, we have obviously now moved beyond that. We have, over time, taken up more space. We’ve demanded better. However, we also continue to live in a society that operates based on men’s rhythm.
What comes with this is the superwoman archetype of “doing it all” - excelling in career, being the nurturer and developing a relationship with ourselves. This last one, have a relationship to yourself – that deeply honours you, that allows your fullness, your magic to shine, that allows you to know clearly your next steps, is not one of the upheld values of the societal systems we live in. Thus, most often your truth is hidden under several layers.
You go to work, you climb the ladder, you follow the rules, perhaps pleasing or getting caught in perfectionism. You caretake others, you hold space, you offer empathy and compassion. You tend to a home and/or a family.
You’re told to do “self-care”, so you draw a bubble bath every month while scrolling on your phone only to still feel something is missing when you get out.
The striving, the pleasing, the second guessing of ourselves – this is by design. This is the larger systems we are a byproduct of. And so, we have to make the choice to step out, to choose ourselves, to shift inwards and hear our intuition, to develop self-trust, to follow our pleasure and to be.
This is reconnection.
Energetic realities
A large part of the process of reconnection involves learning the unhealthy or shadow aspects of both masculine and feminine energy as women that we’ve been handed, remembering the embodied and empowered versions and coming back into them deeply.
Unhealthy masculine energy shows up as:
the hyper-independent
the over-worker
resisting support or help from others
the do-it-all-er
I’ve seen all of them in the energy healing sessions I’ve done with women over the last 3 years.
The unhealthy feminine energy shows up as:
the pleaser
the boundary-less
the putting others first
the self-sacrificing
the second guessing
the co-dependent
I’ve also had all of the above energies orbiting around me for years. This push and pull that left me exhausted, angry and confused. If any of these resonate with you too, let me pause with love to remind you this is most often not your fault, rather a byproduct of the culture around you. These energies are not you, they are what you’ve been handed.
When I found energy work, it was following that inner wisdom. I didn’t know anything about it but I kept feeling called to it. It provided me with an experience of reconnection unlike anything I experienced before. I “felt” myself in a way words can’t describe and the mind can’t think.
I started doing energy work for clients and experiencing the profound impacts it had on them. I noticed patterns among my women clients. I started offering practices they could try at home, and reflection questions to allow them to see themselves.
For me, this work has always been about coming home. It’s been about moving through those layers of conditioning, stories, patterned ways of being, and ingrained habits that keep us stuck as women — that keep us in the hyper-independent caretaker who wants to feel ease and peace in expressing her magic in the world but who doesn’t know how to close the gap between the desire and the lived reality.
Then you find me.
I know this work. I have lived the transformation and the journey that I support clients through. I am beyond passionate about this process because I believe women reconnecting to themselves is not simply important, it’s vital. I believe all women deserve to feel their zest for life and express it through them. I believe you were not put on this planet to please and contort yourself. You are magic. You are power. You are life itself.
Let’s reconnect back to all of that within you & more.
Three Pillars of The Process of Reconnection
Embodiment
Empowerment
Energy/Energetics
Embodiment
This is all about grounding yourself in the present moment and pausing all the external noise. Centre in, get still, allow the quiet. And listen to you. This step is not to be overlooked and it’s in fact one of my absolute favourites in the journey of reconnecting.
Empowerment
After we pause and quieten the outside, we learn and inform ourselves. We experiment, practice, gain new perspectives and try new ways. We develop confidence as we action what we learn. We allow ourselves to receive support and guidance so that we can blossom. This is where that fire starts to ignite and glow from inside out. You develop a strength about you that feels on purpose and is bold. You start to feel you know this beautiful babe that is you. And she’s pretty f***ing amazing.
Energy/Energetics
I have such a passion for this one that is a becoming for me on my own journey. In my coaching, we do not just think with our head, imagine with our minds, or feel physically into the body. We tap into the energy. When you tell me you want to feel grounded by the end of our series, what does that mean to you? What does it look like, what colour is that, is there a person who comes to mind or a tone that you can name? We deepen and make this yours. This desired state is not a feeling you have once but rather an energy you embody that stays. Energy can also be referred to as the true you – what you are getting back to in this process of reconnection.
We also use energetics as a metric to measure as we journey through. Is the energy constricted, open, tight, flowing? I guide you through this to help you connect within and cultivate touchpoints so you can gauge where you’re at, what you need and how to progress with any given thing coming up.
This is powerful, incredible, deeply meaningful work and I am so honoured to do it. And everyone I meet has already started the journey to reconnect on their own. You know how, I’m simply here to support that remembering.
I would love to hear from you. What did you take away from this? Do you have any questions? Pop your share below, and I’d be happy to continue the conversation in the comments.

Not sure what I mean by reconnecting to you?
“You” refers to the truest, most authentic, realist version of you. The core you. Your essence.
Here’s some ways to access:
If you were to think of your best friend, yes the one who sees you so deeply, what would they say about who you are?
Another way to access YOU is asking what your true passions are. What is it you love so much? Think back to when you were a kid, what could you do non-stop that your parents had to pull you away from?
What were you curious about from a really young age? What got you really excited?
What do you wish you had more time for?
What feels like a calling you can’t quite explain? A practice, a place, a hobby.
So often we spend much of our lives thinking we know ourselves, only to learn some of these personality aspects were conditioning and not your core self.
For example, I used to refer to myself as a shy person. This was conditioning. It was a learned behaviour. When I think about who I am with my best friends, I am bold, I can be loud and I can guarantee you I am not shy.
Give yourself a lot of grace when you’re taking a look at you, and getting curious about what is you vs. what has been handed to you. This is a process. And this is why I have an entire coaching series devoted to the journey of doing this work. It is not always light and it can be confusing at times. But I can also tell you, that it is beyond worth anything I’ve ever done before.
